Between the ages of 5 and 13, I suffered from seemingly random hallucinations and panic attacks. My father believed it to be a mental condition induced by childhood trauma. They were most severe between the ages of 5 and 9, occuring up to 3 times weekly. When I would suffer from an abnormally severe hallucination, my parents would take me to the hospital. My blood sugarlevels were very high ( In the 4 hundreds if I remember correctly). My father smelled something in my breath that he said was a symptom of diabetes, but the diagnosis was negative. Just to be safe, my mother monitored everything I ate. I no longer have such attacks, and the last one I can recollect was when I was 15. It is a bit off topic, but I was searching my floor for a single grain of sand that would save my life. None of the doctors could tell me what was wrong. Does anybody know what this was?
My family has a history of paranoia and schizophrenia, but why would it only affect me in childhood? I already said that I had seen numerous doctors, and none of them knew what was wrong.
I was browsing through various products in Walmart and to my surprise I found variety of them with different price.
I was wondering what all I would need to buy to do sugar test for say 6 months ot 12 months. I have to take it to my country for someone. I found these products please lemme know.
For the past year my energy levels have been low and many hours throughout the day my visual focus is very low and i struggle to concentrate or read simple things. I have found that upon eating alot I go back to my normal self for a good few hours. I went to the opticians to complain about this and they said there is nothing wrong with my eye sight.
I have also been drinking stupid amounts of water . And by this I mean I can be going to the toilet every 25 minutes and drinking a pint afterwards as I can’t get rid of the firsty feeling. One night I had to have around 8 pints of water. I also have atleast a pint of water throught the night as I wake up really dehydrated as thought i’m poorly.
What to expect on Franciscans children‘s hospital in Boston MA?
I might go there because I want to get my ADHD taking care of.I also want to get tested for diabetes. Please do not say go anyway else.My ex also wants to send my son there for the same things. That is why I am going there.I already talked to our doctors about this. They suggested going to a hospital for intensive treatments.I had no idea what hospital to pick so my EX picked this one for both of us.He suggested it to me.I have not decided yet but I might go to Joslin to get tested for diabetes. And skip the ADHD part.
Question:
1.What should I expect?
2.What should my son expect?
3.What should I bring for me?
4.What should I bring for him?
5.What is the age limit?
6.Is it any good?
7.Any advice?
8.Any other info?
If I used one of the blood sugar check machines they sell at stores or at the local fire department, one in the morning (fasted) and after I eat, will that give me an indication if I have diabetes or not. I know the best way is to go to the doctor but they are going to charge me $50 for a blood test. Trying to save some money here.
I checked it last night and this morning and it was 90 both times.
