Just wondering the normal range (low & high) for the 1 hour gluscose test they give you when you’re 27 weeks pregnant to test for gestational diabetes. On the web, I found the high to be 140, but nothing about the low side is. I want to know what side of the range i’m on. i tested at 125.

I asked a question yesterday about my 11yr old stepdaughter that is constantly going to the bathroom and drinking alot during the daytime. She sometimes goes 2x a nite also. I talked to her mother and she said that she has a small bladder, which could be true but I had my sister in law test her blood sugar and it was 131. This was done about 1- 1 1/2 hrs after she ate supper. I am going to retake today to see what it is but I don’t know the best time. She said if it gets up to 150 go to the dr right away. She said it was a little high but nothing to be to concerned about since she had eaten. I don’t know anything about diabetes or normal blood sugar levels. I was just looking for a little help and some advice. thanks in advance to your answers.

Or low sugar.
I have PCOS (Poly-cystic ovarian syndrome) but for the past few months, whenever I eat, I feel REALLY lightheaded and dizzy. I see little stars in front of my eyes, or little flashes of light too. Headaches and nausea.
When I haven’t eaten I feel better; I don’t see anything abnormal, I don’t have headaches, and don’t feel faint.

Is it possible my PCOS is progressing to diabetes? I had a 3 hour blood sugar test done, but the lab did it wrond, and my doctor couldn’t obtain the results. Do my symptoms sound like very high blood sugar?

And what are the 800 numbers you see on the TV about a free meter and testing supplies? They advertise a meter that you do not have to prick your finger. Does it require blood still? How does it work? My son is 13 and has CF related diabetes. He tests a couple of times a day and takes one shot of Lantus, long lasting insulin. This “honeymoon” period probably wont last much longer and he will need to test many more times and start taking another injection with meals. Im wanting to lessen the trauma of having to do this any way I can. Do not want to do the pump right now and really the pump may be a some time in the distant future.
They need to invent a meter that does not use strips, those are soooooo expensive.

Hi, I bought a blood sugar test kit after as I’ve been experiencing allot of the symptoms for diabetes, Im 23 also about 40 lbs overweight and Diabetes runs in the family. I tested my self 3 hours after dinner. I had 3 healthy meals today an one beer with dinner. My sugar level read 121 Mg. I test my sister who had ate at the same time and her level was 92 Mg. Is my level a concern. Im going to get checked out by the doctor soon and record my level for the time being. Thanks.

Okay so I have to go in for my 3 hour screening because my test before was really high. I’ve heard that the chances of actually have it are not that great just because I failed the first glucose test. But I was wondering what would that mean if I went and failed my 3 hour test- what would happen from there and how will this affect my unborn baby and I.

I think i might have diabetes.
i looked up symptoms and they inclue loosign weight, eating alot, being moody, beign really thirsty, and having to pee alot.
This is what i have:
-im eating way more than i ever have before. I used to eat 2 meals a day and maybe one small snack of chips. Now i eat 3-4 meals a day sometimes getting seconds. and alot of snacks.
-i CONSTANTLY drink water
-i have to pee alot(from drinking the water)
-i’m really irritable. for example i got a new hair straightner, and my mom asked me if i liked it, and i jsut screamed i havent used ityet so i wouldn’t know. and im not the kind of person to do that.
-i’ve lost like 3 pouns in a small number of days.
-im nto sure about what my blood sugar is.

so i have 3 questions
1.what is the average weight loss in a few weeks of somebody who had type 1 diabetes and doesn’t know it?
2.how can you test i test my blood sugar at home(and i dotn have a device that does it)?
3.Do i have diabete’s?
I am legal. And i live in america, so i can visit a doctor. Im a minor and i live with my mom, and havent told her about this yet. I dont want to unless im convinced i have it. I think she will just say you are fine and dont have diabete’s…adn i will be embarassed.

I have been losing weight but I have alot of fat sagging what kind of excercise should I use to help get rid of the fat. I have high blood presure and diabetes as well as high cholesteral what should I do?

Hello! we think our dog may be diabetic. She has been eating and drinking a whole lot, and as a result, going to the bathroom a lot. I am a diabetic, and I had the same symptoms when I was diagnosed. iws tinking about testing her blood sugar on my glucose meter, but I don’t know how to get a blood sample. Any ideas?
