My daughter is a tourism lycensee but currently have poor glycosilade hemoglobin levels because her difficulty to stabilize her glucose blood tests. She has troubles with her blood glucose levels ( hyper and hypoglucemies) apparently because of some predisposition to retain in a not suitable way the insulin she is shoting during the day and during every correction after a test,up to the moment when apparently all this insulint is suddenly delivered producing an strong hypoglucemy. After several changes in insulin types and the combination with oral hypoglucemients (metformina),her doctor is strongly recommending an insulin pump. could anybody comment experiences with this device and please tell me if somebody went thru a similar situation and how solve the problem?

I have hypoglicemia not in diabetes and so does my mom. Some one told my mom that having to check your blood sugar with a meter would drive you crazy and you will soon be obsessed with checking it. I am getting sick almost constantly and i don’t know if my blood sugar is high or low, and my mom refuses to get me a meter. What should i tell her?

I just got back from the doc’s, saw my baby (it’s beautiful). The doctor said at the next visit he’s doing a blood sugar test but didn’t say what it was. Is it just a simple blood test, do they take more blood than normally (dreading it)?
