i was tested for diabetes about a year and a half ago, i was just wondering if the test would still be valid as the test said i was not diabetic. or will i have to get tested for diabetes again?

I’m a type one diabedic and diabetes runs high in my family I became concerned about the weight my daughter was gaining and the fact she had the typical horrible teenager diet and no exercise despite my pleas so I convinced her to let me prick her finger and take a fasting blood sugar one day it came back 134 and she then fessed up and told me she had had a candy bar about a half an hour before so I did it the next day it came out 155 but I chalked that up to shed had a huge candy bindge the day before do I have reason to worry she is sutch a huge baby I hate to have to prick her agian any one have any ideas

I am a 21 year old female, who is active and normal weight. I recently went to the doctor because I recently had symptoms of a UTI (my third in the past year and 5th in the past 3 years). My doctor told me during the exam that I had high blood pressure and sugar in my urine. This is the second time I’ve been told that sugar was found in my urine, but the first for high blood pressure. My doctor recommended getting a fasting blood test done. I also checked my blood sugar again the next day and it was still high for someone my age (145/70). Other symptoms I have are fatigue and extreme thirst(even before the UTI I feel like I am always thirsty). My question is what other than diabetes could be causing these symptoms? I have been told that maybe the infection spread to my kidneys and was never treated, but that seems odd because I haven’t had extreme pain in my sides/back area.
I just realized I said checked my blood sugar, I meant blood pressure the next day.

Basically, i had a blood test 4 months ago at the hospital for diabetes and it came back negative.

I read online that if your parents, siblings have it then u are at higher risk.

I have used my mums test kit before and usually come back at 4.2. Today i used the test (fasting test) and it has come back as 5.2

I am 22 weeks and 4 days pregnant. My doctor had me do the GCT for gestational diabetes today. I believe she did it early because I am overweight. Up to my last appointment, I had lost four pounds since finding out I was pregnant. Today, I have gained three pounds back. Just letting you know, in case this can be because of GD.

My glucose level was 151. Therefore, I have to go back for the 3 hours glucose test. I am just curious whether any of you have failed the first test and then passed the 2nd? Also, for anyone who has GD, how did it affect your pregnany, birth, and child?

I’m at a normal, healthy weight, but my diet tends to be high in sugar and diabetes runs in my family. Do you get diabetes from eating a bunch fo sugar (candy bars, etc) or is it a combo of family history, lack of exercise, diet.etc. How odl were you when you were diagnosed and has your life completely changed (for the better?)

I had a coke and had my blood sugar tested whilst drinking it. I had a level of 23.5 which is quite high isnt it? My gran who did the test though said not to worry as i was drinking coke at the time. Is she right?
