4 year old boy with type 1 diabetes checks blood sugar by himself!

Connor was only diagnosed 4 days ago, and he is already helping do his own blood glucose tests. He is so strong and brave!

I got type 1 Diabetes since I was two. Im now almost 30. My job is scaffolding and security. Do not look at the downs. You can do anything in life. I always look at it as if you feel depressed harder it will be and more fatal the condition becomes.
@jwburton I’m sorry to hear that you are joining the club that none of us wanted to join. I promise, it DOES get easier. There are days where you just have to throw your hands up and cry, especially at the beginning. Just know you arent alone. There are lots of parents out who will understand every struggle you will face, and are willing to listen. If you havent found it already, childrenwithdiabetes is a GREAT resource. They have a forum full of people ready to help and listen.

@Patrickbsfan2 Be patient and have hope. Stay on top of controlling type1 you will feel better for it and will help preserve you body for a cure some day. Google Dr Faustman.

@Patrickbsfan2 buy the calorieking book it will tell u how many carbs r in wat food it will help a lot trust me ive been a diabetic since april 27 2007 my b day i was 13
