How to find the meter that can check the blood sugar without poking the finger?
Hi, few days ago I saw the commercial that there is a glucometer which can check your blood sugar without poking the finger but I can’t find the paper where I wrote the name
Does anybody know what the name of that meter and how can I buy one? Thank you very much!
Testing is based on your sweat, you don’t have to poke yourself at all! – That’s what commersial said.

its the freestyle meter and you can get them at any drugstore and usually walmart too
Never heard of it, but if you happen to find the paper with it on it or find out what it is, send me the info for it to. Poking your fingers and or arm is one of the worst parts about being diabetic. I know my husband would love this machine to as it would give his fingers a break from 25 years of poking them.
Freestyle is a company that makes a meter you can wear on your wrist it uses your sweat glands to gather enough info to get an accurate blood sugar. The only problem is I have heard it retails for like $350 depending on where you go. I have also heard from various doctors people complain about the skin becoming sore and chaffed. I hit the jackpot for you. I found a website that show cases 764 meters they have user review attached to them try it out and let me know if it helps. I hope I helped.
You saw the commercial recently? The only product that used to do that was the Glucometer, which was taken off the market a couple of years ago due to inconsistent readings and high price.
The new technology is the Continuous Glucose Monitoring systems from companies like Minimed and Dexcom. You inject a sensor under your skin that stays there for a few days and gives you an estimated BG reading every few minutes for several days. Also, with most meters you can check your forearm or earlobe as well as your fingers. Make sure when you prick your fingers you do it on the side instead of right on the tip…it will barely hurt!
